Holiday celebrations are getting into full swing, and there’s no shortage of activities to enjoy during the season. Here are some suggestions for merrymaking that will have you in a festive mood in no-time flat:

Boothbay Harbor, Maine is glowing with holiday cheer in December. A Maine Foodie Tour of this quaint seaside town will take you on a culinary adventure full of tempting Maine delicacies.
Kids and adults alike will also love the fireworks show, the Gingerbread Spectacular, and the North Pole Express. Don’t forget to hit the shops while you’re there!

Enjoy a vintage Christmas in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. A Candlelight Stroll at Strawberry Banke Museum features historically accurate portrayals of Christmas and Hanukkah, including role players in vintage costume and lovely historic homes.

Ogunquit, Maine, celebrates Christmas by the Sea with arts, crafts, concerts, a tree lighting ceremony, and, of course, a visit from Santa himself. If you’re a foodie like me, you’ll definitely want to check out the Taste the Season event on December 8th!

If you’re not a fan of snow, here are destinations where you can enjoy a happy - and warm - holiday.

Newport Beach, California will be hosting its 109th annual Boat Parade, so take a cruise for a prime view of the parade. For land lovers, the town offers many vantage points. But be sure to get there early, because these areas get crowded quickly!

Taos, New Mexico sure knows how to have holiday fun. With crafts, bonfires, fantastic Mexican food, Native American ceremonial dances, parades, and fireworks, there’s something for everyone to enjoy here.

Indoors or outdoors, sunshine or snow, the holidays are all about celebrating traditions and making memories with loved ones. Why not make some new memories in a town that goes all out for the holidays?
